Itinerary
Welcome to the Beautiful Coastal City of Sihanoukville

a pier

After disembarking at Sihanoukville Port, you will meet your private driver and local English-speaking guide. Let’s embark on an interesting journey exploring Sihanoukville – Cambodia’s most popular beach town. Named after the former King of Cambodia, Norodom Sihanouk, the city boasts a coastline of approximately 20 kilometres dotted with gorgeous beaches. Once a sleepy backpacker town, Sihanoukville has transformed into a vibrant destination, attracting an evergrowing number of travellers.

If you opt for port permits, we will be able to meet you at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port. If you don’t opt for port permits, you will have to take a shuttle bus from the port to Sihanoukville Port Gate 1 and we see you there. We’re happy to give you any advice on port permit services. Don’t hesitate to contact us(opens in a new tab) for expert advice on this matter.

Take In the Local Sights and Sounds

To kick off the adventure, we will stop at Independence Beach and visit Wat Krom (also known as Lower Pagoda). A picture of sand glistening in the sun and the soothing blue water creates a serene rhythm that invites you to relax and unwind. Nearby, the temple is situated on a small hill overlooking the sea.

Next, head to Kampign Chhas Primary School, a unique highlight of the tour that gives you valuable insights into local life. The school has only five classrooms, but it is a friendly environment for local children to learn and grow. You can also help them learn some English while interacting with them through some questions.

For photo opportunities, we will stop at Golden Lion II, the iconic symbol of Sihanoukville. The monument features two golden lions, representing Sihanoukville as a symbol of strength and prominence in Cambodia.

We will then continue with a visit to Phsar Leu Local Market. As an integral part of experiencing Cambodian culture, exploring this market will add to the excitement of the tour. Soak up the vibrant market scene with stalls showcasing almost everything from fruits, and seafood to woven baskets and pottery.

Listen to the Soothing Sound of Nature

After lunch, keep going to Kbal Chhay Waterfalls, a true hidden gem in Cambodia. The falls, surrounded by lush greenery and towering trees, will catch your attention with water cascading down from several sources. In contrast to the powerful waterfalls, the calming ambiance created by the peaceful sounds of birds chirping is perfect for relaxation.

Take heed of insightful stories about the history of the falls that weren’t discovered until 1960 and how they became a hideout for the Khmer Rouge. This site is not simply a beautiful natural spot, it embraces many interesting secrets waiting to be uncovered.

At the end of the trip, you will be transferred back to your cruise port. Say goodbye to your guide and driver before embarking on your next journey. Don’t worry about the time as we ensure that you return with plenty of time to relax before setting sail.
