DMZ Area and Hien Luong Bridge

After nearly a 2 hour drive, we will stop to visit the famous battlefield during the Vietnam War: Ben Hai River and Hien Luong Bridge, which divided the country into North and South. During the war, it was painted two different colours, blue for the North and yellow for the South, and the colours can still be seen today! It took more than 20 years with many people sacrificing their lives to cross the bridge and connect the two parts of the country. Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River inspire special feelings among the Vietnamese people. Our guide will also show you the museum and take you back in time.
We then keep driving to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, stopping at Lake House resort for delicious local lunch and a breathtaking view of the lake and mountain.

Opt to Explore the Phong Nha Cave

After lunch, we drive to Phong Nha cave then cruise along the scenic Son River towards the entrance. The cave systems in this area were formed from the oldest karst mountains in Asia, approximately 400 million years ago. Be prepared to be stunned by some of the world’s most impressive limestone formations including huge stalactites and stalagmites, mysterious grottoes and the longest underground river in the world! Everything is delicately lit and laced with secure walkways creating a cool, mysterious ambience for the ultimate subterranean experience.

Opt to Explore the Paradise Cave

After lunch, we get in our car and drive to Paradise Cave. To reach the cave entrance we’ll hike upwards along securely built walkways and stairways. There are plenty of rest and viewing posts along the way, offering fantastic vistas and unmissable photo opportunities. Don’t be fooled by the small entrance to the cave! Once inside, a vast chamber will surround you making you feel quite small! The cave offers a cool, damp freshness, a welcome change to the tropical heat outside. Look out for the beautiful rimstone pool and towering stalactite formations.
