Itinerary

Once you disembark your cruise ship, meet your private guide for a comfortable transfer to Bangkok, a journey of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Bangkok is a large and spread-out city, where you will experience an interesting blend of cultural heritage and vibrant street life.

*Option 1: Available all days of the week

Wat Arun Temple

Your first stop will be the iconic Wat Pho, a sprawling complex featuring the famous reclining Buddha. It’s easy to be impressed with the prangs piercing the sky as well as the intricate detail of the architecture. Look closely at the design and you will appreciate how skilled the creators were.

Then, continue your journey to Wat Arun (also known as the Temple of Dawn), an iconic landmark on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. Its elegant details, symbolic significance, and riverside location make it not only a sacred site but also a typical architectural gem. If you prefer, visit Wat Traimit in place of Wat Arun. Wat Traimit is located in Chinatown and home to a giant Buddha statue made of gold. Please note that you have to pay $5 more to visit both Wat Arun and Wat Traimit.

Next off, enjoy a discovery trip into the canals of Thonburi on a longtail boat. You will pass by lush greenery and enjoy the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere – not the typical adjectives that link with Bangkok, but it truly exists – a quiet Bangkok in the district of Thonburi. What’s more, get an up-close look at wooden houses on stilts marking a complicated maze on the water. Then, continue to The Maharaj pier and enjoy lunch at a local riverside restaurant.

After you have filled your stomach with delicious food, it’s time to fill your eyes with the architectural magnificence of the Grand Palace. With impressive golden architecture and intricate details including the golden spires and colourful mosaics, the Grand Palace is a true icon of Thailand’s rich cultural heritage that takes you back in time.

At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to Laem Chabang Port. Make the most of your time to relax and recharge for more adventures the next day.

*Option 2 (visit floating markets): Available at weekends only (Saturdays and Sundays)

golden royal barges

In addition to the traditional itinerary, you can opt for a tour around the floating markets for a more authentic local exposure. However, this option is only available if your trip falls on the weekends.

Our first stop will be the Royal Barges National Museum. This museum showcases the golden age of riverine transportation, a time when ornate barges carried royalty and dignitaries.

Next off, continue to Taling Chan Floating Market and Khlong Lad Mayom Floating Market. The floating markets are an integral part of the social fabric, reflecting Thai people’s special connection with water. You will witness how people gather, exchange stories, and build community bonds around these unique markets.

After lunch at a local restaurant tasting Thai food, depart for the Grand Palace, followed by Wat Traimit to view the magnificent splendour of the world’s largest statue of the Buddha image made entirely from gold.

At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to Laem Chabang Port for an overnight stay on your cruise ship. Make the most of your time to relax and recharge for more adventures the next day.

the sanctuary of truth

Today, set out for Pattaya City – a small city located on the east coast of Thailand. After a 40-minute drive, you will arrive in Pattaya. Although the city still holds tight to its party-hard reputation, there are plenty of cultural attractions to discover. We will visit the Sanctuary of Truth, the giant temple entirely made of wood situated by the sea. Adorned with symbolic Chinese, Hindi, and Buddhist sculptures, the castle serves as a majestic tribute to the seven creators of the kingdom, including Heaven, Earth, Father, Mother, Moon, Sun, and Stars.

Later, head to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, an elegant and impressive landscaped park that brings fantasy to life. This site was originally built as a fruit plantation, but it gradually transformed into a botanical garden and entertainment complex. From giant cactuses to tropical flowers, you can view various endangered plants indigenous to Southeast Asia in this park. Apart from the botanical park, Nong Nooch Garden features a variety of cultural shows that celebrate the country’s rich heritage.

Next comes lunchtime. Reward yourself with mouth-watering traditional dishes. You will feel the harmonious features that set Thai cuisine apart. Following this, we will head to Pattaya Floating Market to experience the bustling vibes of an authentic Thai market. You can purchase a variety of handmade items or traditional Thai wear for your family and friends.

If time permits, we will drive to Pattaya Hill to get the best panoramic view of Pattaya from this vantage point. Make the most of your last moments to do some shopping before returning to the port. We will drop you off at Laem Chabang Port well before your cruise departure so that you can have plenty of time to prepare for your next leg.
