Your English-speaking guide will be waiting at Nha Trang Port and ready to accompany the group to the first destination of the day. Arriving at Long Son Pagoda, you will be immediately impressed by unique architecture and peaceful atmosphere. Climb 152 stone steps up, you will reach the mountaintop, where the giant White Buddha sits on a lotus throne and gazes peacefully over forested surroundings below.

Following this, you will visit a local family to know more about everyday life in this beautiful coastal city. In addition to fishing, the locals also earn a livelihood through weaving mats, and making conical hats, rice papers, and noodles.

Try Your Hands at Crafting Conical Hats

The countryside of Nha Trang is just as impressive as its coastal scenery. It is dotted with tropical foilage, forested hills, and quiet trails that wind through rice fields. A typical scene you will see here – farmers work with enthusiasm and dedication in the fields all day long.

Your next stop will be an ancient house where you can adore historical architecture and the friendliness of local people. Next, immerse yourself in the delicate art of conical hat-making. This is when you discover various steps involved in making a simple conical, from drying leaves and weaving bamboo into frames to sewing the final touches.

Cruise Along the River

a scenic river view

For 30 minutes, you will cruise along the Cai River, also known as Phu Loc or Cu River. The river serves as a vital lifeline for agriculture, tourism, and many other activities of Khanh Hoa Province. In the place where sunlit beaches dominate the landscape, Cai River stands out with peaceful villages along the river banks.

Visitors who appreciate the beauty of natural and rural landscapes will find the journey along the Cai River truly enchanting. From the boat, you will see a panoramic view of the river surrounding the coastal city. This river cruise is definitely a peaceful escape into the heart of the countryside.

Explore the Historic Po Nagar Temple

an ancient temple complex

Now, make our way to Po Nagar Temple, an ancient temple complex near the city centre. Ranked as a national historical and cultural monument, the temple has long been associated with the religion of the Cham people.

Built between the 8th and 13th centuries, during the peak of Hinduism’s influence and prosperity, the temple features unique three-tiered architecture. Crafted from clay bricks and adorned with intricate decorative patterns, the entire temple showcases exceptional craftsmanship.

After the last stop, our guide will take you back to the port in plenty of time for your departure. Don’t forget to say goodbye to your guide and ask for any final recommendations.
