Itinerary
Journey Through a Bucolic Canvas

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome from a knowledgeable English-speaking guide, who will greet you with a friendly smile. Join our group and connect with your new fellow travellers – depart for the enchanting Mekong Delta.

In contrast to the bustling atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong region is characterised by a true bucolic canvas of flourishing fruit and orchards. Known as the “fruit basket” of Vietnam, the Mekong Delta features a variety of exotic fruits, such as mangoes, rambutans, jackfruits, and many more.

Along the way, you will also see endless rice paddies, where most of Vietnam’s rice is grown. The rice cultivated here not only sustains the nation but also yields enough to make Vietnam one of the world’s largest exporters.

Discover the Magic of Life on the Water

Travelling in the Mekong Delta, one of the biggest parts not to be missed is floating markets. As we arrive in Cai Be, transfer to a traditional sampan and get ready for an unforgettable exploration of the fascinating waterways. Filled with a vast array of seasonal fruits, vegetables, flowers, etc., the boats serve not only as transport but also as hubs for trade and connection.

Here, you can sample fresh produce, purchase unique handcrafted items, and even savour a bowl of Hu Tieu, prepared directly on the boat. This is a unique chance to experience the local culture, where trading on the water is as much about connection as it is about commerce.

Paddle Through Tranquil Canals

Upon arrival at Tan Phong Island, we will enjoy a live performance of Don Ca Tai Tu, distinctive South-West Vietnamese music recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. If you have a thirst for some extra physical activities, opt for a bike ride to explore the island from a different perspective.

Indulge in More Cultural Immersion

a traditional lunch setThe next part of the adventure will bring us to a local family and see how life unfolds here. As hospitality runs deep in the Mekong culture, you will likely be treated to a warm welcome with local delicacies for lunch – spring rolls, fried pumpkin flowers, and coconut braised pork.

Before wrapping up your adventure, visit Cao Dai Temple and gain insights into native religious beliefs. Cao Dai is the most inclusive religion in the world, combining virtues from Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Catholicism. Marvel at the temple’s intricate artwork, each symbol reflecting the harmony between these diverse spiritual traditions.

After the last leg of the journey, you will be transported back to the port in plenty of time for your cruise departure! Don’t forget to say your farewells before setting off on your next adventure.
