Itinerary
Admire the Stunning Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City

a group of tourists in front of a palace

The arrival of the French in the 1860s painted Saigon’s skyline with the brushstrokes of colonial architecture. A sightseeing tour through the city’s most iconic landmarks will transport you back in time, revealing the stories behind its vibrant architecture.

Our first stop is the Indepence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace. The palace is most famous for the historic moment when a North Vietnamese tank crashed through its gates on April 30, 1975, marking the end of the separation of the country.

To continue, visit a variety of architectural masterpieces, including the Notre-Dame Cathedral. Built between 1863 and 1880, the church has undergone many renovations, and now stands as an important place of worship for the local Catholic population. Not far away, the Central Post Office stands out with a classic design and a striking clock. You will also see the nearby CIA headquarters, where last evacuations of Vietnam War occurred.

A Haunting Reminder: The War Remnants Museum

in front of a war museum

Prepare for the emotional impact of the War Remnants Museum. This breathtaking display is like no other war museum. Offering a rare insight into the civilian impact of the Vietnamese-American war, the multi-layered displays are hard-hitting but a must-see.

The Requiem Gallery is the gem of this museum, where you can see historic photos taken by famed international war photographers such as Tim Page or Larry Burrows. This poignant display is bound to stay with you long after you leave the museum.

Unveil Local Beliefs at the Emperor Jade Pagoda

the facade of a pagoda

Built by a community of Cantonese who migrated from Guangzhou province in Southwest China, the Jade Emperor Pagoda is a vibrant testament to their cultural heritage. A statue of the namesake Jade Emperor sits in the Chamber of 10 Hells while the grounds around the temple are full of trees and red lanterns.

Local visitors to this pagoda are drawn by its spiritual ambiance. It will be very interesting to see them offer prayers for blessings of all kinds. As this is a sacred place, remember to dress appropriately to show respect for the religious traditions.

Pass by the Former U.S. Embassy

Take a moment to reflect on history as we cruise by the site of the former U.S. Embassy. This building played a significant role in the Vietnam War era.  While the original structure is no longer here, it serves as a powerful reminder of a bygone era in Ho Chi Minh City’s history.

Explore the City’s Architectural Gems

two tourists at an opera house

With a stroll along Dong Khoi Street, you will see the iconic Opera House, Ho Chi Minh Square, City Hall and the historic Rex Hotel. These landmarks showcase the city’s blend of colonial and modern influences.

To continue, enjoy a photo stop at Bitexco Building. The tower’s striking design includes a helipad that projects outward from the 55th floor while the building itself soars higher. The must-see part of the tower is its Sky Deck with 360-degree views of the city and the Saigon River.

Soak up the Vibrant Atmosphere at Ben Thanh Market

inside a local market

To conclude our fantastic jeep tour, make a stop at Ben Thanh Market. Dated back to the 17th century and has gone through several major developments, the market witnesses many changes of the city. The distinctive cream-coloured market is conveniently situated on an intersection of four busy streets. Inside the markets, you will be surprised by the maze of stalls selling everything from fresh produce and local crafts.

At the end of the tour, your private driver will return you to your hotel, wrapping up a memorable journey through vibrant Ho Chi Minh City in the comfort of your private jeep.
