Itinerary
Bask in the Magical Aura

intricate temple architecture

After you disembark at Laem Chabang Port, an English-speaking guide will greet you and accompany you to your private vehicle. We will leave for the city centre of Bangkok on a road trip that takes around 2 – 2.5 hours, depending on traffic.

Our first stop will be the Grand Palace of Bangkok, a structural wonder that takes you back in time. Exploring different structures and sculptures, you will truly feel the haunt of the bygone era. After lunch at a local restaurant serving traditional Thai cuisine, we will continue our journey to Wat Pho, one of the largest and oldest temples in Bangkok and an important centre for traditional Thai medicine and massage. Alternatively, stop at Wat Traimit, a magnificent temple in Bangkok housing the world’s largest solid gold Buddha statue. This option is available for an additional charge of $5.

Continue your exploration of Bangkok on a unique longtail boat along the lively Chao Phraya River and the canals. Get your camera ready to capture beautiful simple moments of Thai’s daily life on the river. You will pass through Wat Arun, an iconic landmark on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. The temple complex with its intricate patterns of floral mosaics sets itself apart from other temples in the city and makes itself noticeable from afar.

Wrap up your first day of the tour with an interesting visit to a wholesale flower market for a refreshing change of atmosphere from the serene religious sites. Pak Klong Talad Flower Market serves everyone, from florists to flower vendors. You will find the busy trading scene when goods are continuously transported to neighbouring markets throughout Bangkok.

After the day’s end point, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and relaxation. * Please note that your accommodation is not included. Feel free to book a hotel of your choice or let us know in advance if you’d like us to handle all the arrangements for you.

Explore the Ancient World of Ayutthaya

temple ruins

Today, we will head north to Ayutthaya, an ancient city that was once the capital of Thailand and is now home to many temples. With its profound historical significance and captivating beauty, Ayutthaya offers a unique glimpse into Thailand’s rich past.

There are plenty of renowned relics and ancient temples within this complex for you to explore the whole day. The most important one is Ayutthaya Historical Park. The architecture speaks to ancient design motifs and gives a sense of wonder as you imagine how it once functioned in its prime. You will see the ruins of the ancient capital’s Grand Palace and the Royal Temple (Wat Phra Si Sanphet). Not much is left of this site today, but it is enough to get you to travel back in time and reveal its historical significance.

Next off, visit Viharn Phra Mongkhon Bophit, right next to Wat Phra Si Sanphet. This sanctuary hall houses one of Thailand’s largest bronze Buddha statues, dating to the 15th century. Standing at an impressive 12.45 metres tall, this statue is one of the few that survived the sacking of Ayutthaya by Burmese armies in 1767.

Continue your way to Wat Mahathat or Temple of the Great Relics, built around 1370 and later served as a royal temple for a long time. It is located right in the centre of Ayutthaya City and typical of the Ayutthaya ruins. The most iconic spot, perfect for photography, is the stone Buddha head gracefully entwined within the roots of a tree.

At the end of the tour, make your way to Wat Chaiwattanaram, an impressive Buddhist temple built outside the main island city, on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya River. This site is known for its quintessential example of Khmer-style architecture and symbol of Ayutthaya’s brilliant past. By noon, we will transport you back to Laem Chabang Port to get you ready for your next adventure.
